     These Lesson Plans have been provided by teachers who have attended either the Civil War Institute or the Gilder Lehrman Institute as scholarship recipients. The aim of these lesson plans is to assist teachers, throughout the nation, in finding new and creative ways to bring the Civil War into their classrooms.  They have been divided into 10 categories.
