Saturday, November 18
11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Celebration of the opening of the newly restored historic Lincoln Train Station.
1:00 p.m. Remembrance Day Parade and activities, sponsored by the Sons of Union Veterans. The route of the parade will be as follows; Exiting Lefever Street onto East Confederate Ave. and turning west onto East Middle Street. Upon striking Baltimore Street the parade will turn south and then veer south west onto Steinwehr Ave where it will terminate at the National Park. 5:30 p.m. The Gettysburg Foundation will host the Fourth Annual Remembrance Illumination (5:30-9:30 p.m.) at the Soldiers' National Cemetery. Anyone interested in sponsoring one of the 3,500 luminaries is encouraged to contact the Friends.

45th Annual Robert Fortenbaugh Memorial Lecture, Majestic Theater.
Speakers: James and Lois Horton.
Title: "Abraham Lincoln in African American History and Memory." Dr. James O. Horton is the Benjamin Banneker Professor of American Studies and History at George Washington University and Director of the African American Communities Project of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Horton was historical advisor on the PBS series, Slavery and the Making of America, and co-authored the companion book. Lois E. Horton is a Professor of History at George Mason University. She is the author of In Hope of Liberty, nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in nonfiction.
