A diverse exhibition of photographs, painting and mixed-media work by contemporary Hispanic artists living in Pennsylvania examine the complicated nature of the Hispanic cultural experience in America. The artists in the exhibition provide new opinions and challenge conventional perceptions of racial, ethnic, and gendered identity. Mixed-media artist Michelle Angela Ortiz will speak about her studio work and cultural background in a presentation entitled, "Perspectives of La India Blanca: The Journey of a Tri-cultural Latina in the Art World" at noon on Friday and Saturday, September 14 and 15 at the Majestic Theater, Gettysburg. The exhibition is The exhibition is developed and presented by private art dealer Americas' Arts, LLC and is co-sponsored by the Departments of Spanish and Latin American Studies and Gettysburg College, EPACC. All works of art on display will be available for purchase.
