Student Exhibition
Shane Vince ('08), Introduction to Photography, 2007 August 20 - September 9, 2007
Reception: Thursday, August 30, 5 - 7 pm
To celebrate the arrival of a new academic year and the outstanding artistic production of students at Gettysburg College, over ninety works created in studio art courses in 2006-07 are presented by the Visual Arts Department and Schmucker Art Gallery. Faculty members selected exceptional works in a wide range of artistic media. Students enrolled in studio courses work closely with faculty to sharpen skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, and photography, and to develop a more acute sense of sight and deeper coordination of eye, hand, intuition, and mind. Faculty members supervising the exhibiting artists are: Jim Agard, Alan Paulson, Mark Warwick, Brent Blair, and John Winship.
