Gettysburg in China
Program in Brief:
In conjunction with CET Academic Programs Abroad and Capital Normal University in Beijing, this semester program offers students in any major the opportunity to take courses focusing on Asia generally and China specifically. All students take Chinese language from beginning through advanced levels.
Orientation:
There is a mandatory Send-Off Session at Gettysburg College for all off campus studies students the semester prior to the program. An on-site orientation is held in Beijing upon arrival.
Location:
Located in China's capital, the home of standard Mandarin, and situated in the Western part of the city, away from foreign influences, the CET program offers an ideal location from which to study Chinese language, history, politics and culture.
Living Arrangements:
All students live in shared rooms in a residence hall with a Chinese roommate.
