Upon approval, a refund will be issued within ten working days. In the event that a student's charges exceed the amount paid, the student will be invoiced for the difference.
Collections Policy
Delinquent accounts will be subject to an interest rate of 1% per month. This late charge will be waived for Student Loan amounts processed by the College after the due dates for payments. Students are required to complete payment of tuition and fees by the stated deadlines to maintain active enrollment status and to register for courses for future semesters. Gettysburg 's policy requires the withholding of all credits, educational services, issuance of transcripts and certification of academic records from any person whose financial obligations to the College (including delinquent accounts, deferred balances and liability for damage) are unpaid. If any overdue obligation is referred either to the College Collection Department or to an outside agency or attorney for collection efforts and/or legal suit, the debt shall be increased to cover all reasonable costs of collection, including collection agency and attorneys fees and court costs. By registering for any class at the College, each student accepts and agrees to be bound by the foregoing College policy as applied to any pre-existing or future obligation to the College.
College Withdrawal Policy
A Student must notify the Registrar in writing if he/she intends to withdraw from Gettysburg or request a leave of absence. The official date of withdrawal is the date the written notice is received by the Registrar. Students with financial aid who withdraw (voluntarily or involuntarily) may forfeit a term of financial aid eligibility. The College Catalogue has a complete description of the Withdrawal and Refund Policy.
Required Withdrawal for Disciplinary Reasons (Involuntary)
A student who is required to withdraw for disciplinary reasons will forfeit all fees, which he or she has paid.

Other Special Financial Arrangements for Off Campus Studies
Tuition Credit Program for Children of Employees - Children of employees that attend Gettysburg may study off campus in an affiliated program and receive the same tuition benefit as if they were at Gettysburg . The student must have been in residence at Gettysburg as a full-time matriculated student for at least one year prior to studying abroad to receive this benefit. Children of Gettysburg employees that attend other colleges may apply to participate in Gettysburg College 's affiliated study abroad programs. If they are accepted into the program, they receive the same tuition benefit as if they were attending their home institution. Please note: this benefit applies to tuition only. All other program costs are the responsibility of the student.
International Student Participation Policy - All international students who receive financial aid from Gettysburg College must write a petition to the President of the College to explain their plans for off campus studies including its relevance to their academic goals and major. If the President approves the petition, all of the financial aid received by the student may be used to pay for the affiliated program.
In the event of a cancellation of an off campus studies program, special arrangements will be made.
