Why I Joined the GLGC:

For lack of a better word, my semester abroad was perfect. I changed in so many ways as a person, and especially as a student. My outlook changed completely, and I learned how to spend my time effectively to make every single day count. However, upon returning to Gettysburg this fall, I struggled with introducing this new person that I became to the campus that I've always known, and all that I've been able to think about is how wonderful my life was in Copenhagen. So, because of this struggle, I am definitely in need of an outlet, and I think that being a mentor for GLGC is not only something that I need, but something that I can also excel in. I am a great listener, and am very patient. I want other study abroad students to see me as someone that they can look up to upon return, and I want to work together with other previous study abroad students on translating my life abroad to the Gettysburg community.
