Favorite abroad experience:

There are so many great experiences that I had, but I'd have to say my favorite is the Christmas season in Germany. The city of Berlin transformed, almost over night into a Christmas wonderland with Christmas markets (Weihnachtsmarkts) popping up all over the city. Everyone was so friendly and happy and was just having a great time enjoying their time at the markets. It was also awesome because at many of these Christmas Markets, people would be selling their own handmade products, some of which were really quite incredible. The experience definitely got better when it snowed for a week straight, and then it really felt like Christmas where ever I went.

Why I joined GLGC:

I joined GLGC for a few reasons. First, I wanted to establish myself with a network of people who have all shared the study abroad experience which can be hard to communicate with people who have not studied abroad. Second, I want to be able to encourage people to study abroad and help them in any way to be able to have this life changing experience.

Plans after graduation:

After graduation I will most likely be doing graduate work in counseling/therapy. I want to work with Veterans either through the Veterans Hospital or one of the other various foundations established to provide aid to returning Veterans. I want to be able to help Veterans adjust back to civilian life and to aid them with any unseen injuries that they may need help working through.
