Re: Health and Safety Precautions

As I am sure you are aware, the Department of State and the Center for Disease Control continually review world safety and health issues in order to keep American travelers informed of developments that may impact their travels.  For your information, the following links will connect you with up-to-date information that supplements the travel advice given to you at orientation.

As is suggested in your Pre-Departure Handbook and in this recent update, I urge you to review health and safety precautions, and continue to monitor notices given regarding the countries to which you will be traveling.  If you do not have access to a computer, please contact our office and we will be happy to send you a copy of any reports that you request.

Should you have specific questions regarding your personal health or safety, please be in touch with someone at your program site who is most able to address these particular questions.  You are welcome to contact me, as always, if I can be of assistance to you in any way.  I wish you well for your term abroad, and I look forward to hearing all about your travels on your return to Gettysburg.
