Electives: Two additional courses: one may include one 100-level course (Eng 111, 113, CLA 103, or designated First Year Seminar in literature);  one may include one English 200-level writing course, (includes JOUR 203); or one may be an academic year internship or individualized study (not both).

NOTE: One literature course taken outside of the English Department may count toward major (with your academic advisors permission).  


NOTE:  May not include Advanced Placement credits.                                 


*STUDY ABROAD: May include two courses (one 200- and one 300-level literature; or one 300-level literature and one 300-level writing) from a semester program abroad may count toward the major.  A third course (200- or 300-level) from a full-year program abroad may count.


** ENG 405 pre-requisite: ENG 205 plus one completed 300-level writing course.
