*May include two courses (one 200-level and one 300-level) from a semester program abroad. A third course (200- or 300-level) may count toward the major for a full year program abroad.

** Up to two literature courses taken outside of the English Department may count toward Intermediate Studies in Literature, Advanced Studies in Literature, or an elective course.

***May be a 100-level literature course: ENG 111, 113, CLA 103, or designated first year seminar in literature; or may be 200-or 300-level literature or writing course; or may be an academic-year internship or individualized study.
