Mellon Grants for Associate Professors

Types of projects supported:

• Up to $6000 for expenses including, but not limited to, professional travel, hiring a research assistant, participation in workshops or other forms of advanced training, enhancement of sabbatical leaves, replacement for course-releases.

Who may apply:

• Associate faculty. First priority in funding will be given to those who have been in rank for more than eight years, have contributed generously to governance at the departmental and/or college level, and whose proposals show promise of strengthening or revitalizing the applicant's programs of scholarship.

Application deadlines:

• Applications are due the same day as the spring semester deadline for Research and Professional Development grants.
