Mellon Funds for Student's Professional Papers and Conferences (SPPC)

Types of projects supported:

• Attendance by students at professional meetings. Although preference is given to students who are presenting a paper or otherwise participating in the conference, this is not a prerequisite for support.
• Students presenting papers may apply for up to $600, while those simply attending a meeting may apply for up to $100.
• In all cases, departments are expected to indicate their support of student participants by providing some funding from their departmental budget.
• No more than five students will be supported to attend any one conference.

• Faculty member overseeing student research

Application deadlines:

• Applications are accepted throughout the academic year and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
