Baseball is one of 24 men's and women's varsity sports at Gettysburg College.	Gettysburg competes successfully in the Centennial Conference, one of the nation's top NCAA Division III athletics conferences.	The women's harriers have finished in the top three in the Centennial Conference eight times since the conference was created in 1993.
Gettysburg's football program holds 50 Centennial Conference team and individual records.	Dedicated in 2004, Bobby Jones Field is home to the Gettysburg softball team. The field features brand new dugouts, an outfield fence 215 feet from home plate, state-of-the-art scoreboard and quality bullpens.	Both the women's and men's swim teams are powerhouses in the Centennial Conference.
The men's lacrosse team has captured 11 championships in the 14 years the conference has been in existence, including nine of the last ten and four consecutive titles from 2004 to 2007.	The men's swimming team has had an outstanding overall meet record of 157-45 (.777) under head coach Mike Rawleigh, who has never had a losing season in his 22 years at Gettysburg.	The golf team practices and plays home matches on the rolling terrain of the four-star Links at Gettysburg, a championship-style course that challenges golfers with steep rock cliffs, lakes, and undulating greens.
The men's track & field team had two Centennial Conference champions and six medalists at the 2007 conference outdoor championships.	One of Gettysburg's oldest sports, the men's track & field team has recorded numerous outstanding individual and team performances.	The men's cross country team has finished in the Centennial Conference's top three eight times since 1993
The softball team has had ten straight seasons with 20 wins or more and has played in the Centennial Conference championship game five times in the past six years.	Both men's and women's soccer play on Clark Field. This superb athletic venue offers a turf field and lights for night games.	More than 25 percent of Gettysburg students participate in intercollegiate sports.
The women's lacrosse team has made seven trips to the NCAA Division III tournament since 2000, reaching the national championship game in 2006 and the national quarterfinals in 2000, 2004, and 2005.	In the 14 years since the Centennial Conference was founded, Gettysburg has won 74 conference titles, more than any other member college.	The field hockey program's stellar tradition of success includes six trips to the NCAA Division III tournament, 10 All-Americans, and 33 players named to the All-Centennial Conference first team.
Gettysburg is a founding member of the Centennial Conference, one of the premiere conferences for NCAA Division III athletics.	Since the Centennial Conference started in 1993, Bullets wrestlers have captured 16 individual conference championships, making it one of only four teams with 10 or more individual titles.	The women's soccer team has 112 Centennial Conference wins, the best in the conference.
In September 2003 Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium was converted from natural grass to the state-of-the-art in fill synthetic grass surface AstroPlay.	Dedicated in September 1965, Musselman Stadium is the sports arena for football, men's lacrosse, and track & field.	The women's volleyball team has dominated the Centennial Conference in recent years, winning 11 Centennial Conference championships in the 14 years of the conference's existence.
Gettysburg's athletic teams attract players who are truly both "student" and "athlete."	The men's golf team has had 19 first-team All-Centennial Conference selections, more than any other college in the conference.	The women's tennis team has won 134 matches in 15 years under head coach Bill Pfitzinger, an average of almost 10 a year.
Bream Gymnasium is a versatile venue which plays host to the basketball teams, the wrestling squad, and the volleyball program. It also has training rooms, as well as a weight room.	Nearly all students take advantage of the array of opportunities for recreation and fitness at Gettysburg, including weight training, aerobics, triathlons, swimming, spinning, yoga, pilates, and many other pursuits.	Clark Field, home to men's and women's soccer, features a state-of-the-art artificial surface, lights, bleachers, and fencing.
The outdoor athletic fields at Gettysburg College are among the best at the NCAA Division III level.	The men's basketball team has qualified for the Centennial Conference playoffs six times in the last seven years, capturing the title twice in 2001 and 2002.
