Water conservation infrastructure decisions
Despite the addition of new buildings and increases in the number of students on campus, water use is down 36.4% since 1996. Conservation measures include:
• low-flow restroom fixtures
• high-efficency washing machines and other appliances
• pulping equipment in the Dining Center that removes solids from dishwashing water, permitting the water to be recycled, dramatically reducing both water use and solid waste volume.
