Information technology energy efficiency

The Information Technology Department has instituted a number of improvements to reduce energy use.  Videoconferencing is enabled and encouraged on campus.  Classroom equipment automatically shuts off on a timer.  An electric vehicle is used to travel around campus on assignments.  Multiple databases are run on the same server, and a storage area network has replaced a multiple network storage device to minimize the number of power supplies running.
