Give It Up for Good Sale

At the end of each academic year, Gettysburg College Facilities Services and the United Way of Adams County coordinate the Give It Up for Good Sale, a massive reuse campaign that benefits the United Way.

• Students donate reusable items as they move out in May.

• Facilities Services and United Way volunteers collect and organize the items.

• Everything is sold for below-thrift-store prices to benefit the United Way.

Through its first five years, the sale has raised nearly $60,000 for the United Way and removed approximately 100 tons from the waste stream.
