RecycleMania at gettysburg

Competing with hundreds of other colleges and universities in the annual RecycleMania contest, Gettysburg College posted strong results during its first two years of particpating.

Gettysburg placed second in Pennsylvania and 53^rd nationally in 2007.

In 2008, Gettysburg College placed eighth in the state and 75^th nationally while the number of participating institutions doubled to 400 in 2008.

Gettysburg also organizes an on-campus competition among residence buildings: the winner recycles the greatest weight per capita. Sustainability and recycling interns partner with student Sustainability Representatives, the Gettysburg Environmental Concerns Organization, and Residence Life to make RecycleMania a growing success at Gettysburg College.
