Student initiatives
Gettysburg College students take on vital leadership roles in developing new programs, partnerships, and projects to increase our campus's sustainability. These range from direct action and community service to campus and community education.
For example, Gettysburg Research and Action by Students for Sustainability (GRASS) was a driving force behind the creation of a the campus-wide Sustainability Committee and Gettysburg's decision to become a charter signatory of the Presidents Climate Commitment. GRASS authored a campus-wide Sustainability Proposal that marked a significant milestone.
