This is a great class for all aspiring writers, regardless of experience level. It is also a good choice for students who need to work on their writing skills and mechanics. Creative Writing takes an innovative approach to the classroom experience with group work, individual attention and an outside-the-box mentality. If you want to share your work in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, our creative writing workshop is just the course for you!

Each Session includes a mix of activities and special programs along with plenty of time to write and talk with other writers. Activities and field trips range from poetry readings to improvisational free writes, to open mics with readings by professional writers – your teachers!

What does it mean to be a writer? Would you like the change to write everyday and to share your work in a relaxed and supportive environment? We mix the classes so that new challenges are constantly presented and material consistently fresh. From the library and the classroom to a shady spot on the quad, this program is about writing!

The writing workshop is our most popular course. Students from all over the world participate in this fun, challenging program. All you need is an enthusiastic and open mind, and a love of the written word. This summer, you will have the opportunity to cover poetry, fiction, journaling and mechanics.

"I learned so much about writing and about myself. This was a very rewarding program and a wonderful, worthwhile experience. You can meet so many new and interesting people within the two weeks you are here."
