As a self-proclaimed 'public theologian' Monroe tries to inform the public of the role religion plays in discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. She has received numerous honors and awards for her achievements such as the Cambridge Peace and Justice Award and the Boston Cerificate of Recognition. |
