In today’s day and age, it is easy to become fully accustomed to the new and forget the past. For instance, our country’s once flourishing farmlands have now been replaced by new housing developments and shopping malls. The focus of my work is to use a traditional artistic medium, black and white photography, to bring to life various empty places and spaces that have slowly withered due to the passage of time and other outside factors. The photographs were taken during the span of three months in various towns within and around the Adams County area in Pennsylvania.
