The Health Professions Committee (HPC) assists and advises students consider­ing a profession in one of the many medical and healthcare fields.  Begin­ning during the first year orientation program, members of the commis­sion hold periodic meetings with interested students to acquaint them with the requirements and admissions procedures of the various medical schools.  Members of the committee are also available to discuss alternative careers in such fields as hospital manage­ment, public health, optometry, podiatry, and numerous other health-related fields.  Recommendations of students for medical, dental, and veteri­nary schools are made only by HPC, after an interview with each applicant.
