Academic Focus: Environmental physiology, pharmacology, toxicology of aquatic animals
I am interested in animal reproduction, especially environmental, physiological, and cellular mechanisms regulating reproduction in model aquatic animals such as clams, snails, and worms.
I have also had a longstanding interest in the factors that govern distribution and abundance of rocky shore, mud flat, and freshwater stream invertebrates.
I teach Introductory Biology for majors (Biology 111 and 112), Freshwater Biology (Biology 307), and Invertebrate Zoology (Biology 227).
