A. Ralph Cavaliere

Ralph Cavaliere is Charles H. Graff professor of biology at Gettysburg college. He has served as chairman of the Department (1975-1985) and a member of the faculty since 1966. Specializing in mycology (fungi) and phycology (algae) he has studied and published articles, several book chapters and field guides on the algae of Bermuda, marine fungi from the east and west coasts of the United States and most recently on fungal deterioration of historical documents and works of art. Dr. Cavaliere teaches First Year Biology, The Biology of Algae and Fungi, and Electron Microscopy.
