Chemistry Prof. William Parker earned the College's Distinguished Teaching Award for 2009.

He was honored for "an ambitious teaching standard, mentoring advanced students, working tirelessly with any student seeking extra help, and dispatching all comers on the tennis court with determined grace," said Interim Provost Jay White.

Chemistry Prof. Alex Rowland is a previous winner of the award.
