Dr. Esther S. Takeuchi (far left) was the Musselman Visiting Scientist for 2009, the same year President Obama awarded her the National Medal of Technology and Innovation, the United States' highest honor for technological achievement. Takeuchi is the Greatbatch Professor in Power Sources Research in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at University at Buffalo, a flagship institution in the State University of New York system.
