INTERNSHIPS?
Gettysburg is the best known of all of the Civil War's battlefields, but almost all the other major battles of the war were fought within a day's drive, in Maryland and northern Virginia. Today, the National Park Service and a series of Civil War museums mark the passage of the armies - and offer Gettysburg Semester students a wealth of opportunities for hands-on work with collections of books, manuscripts, and artifacts. Not only does this build your experience in dealing with the history of the Civil War, it gives a real boost to your resume, whether you're looking forward to job interviews or graduate school applications.
Here's a list of Civil War-related internships available right in our area:

The Schriver House (Gettysburg)
The Adams County Historical Society (Gettysburg)
