The Civil War keeps us quite busy at Gettysburg College.

Brian Jordan ('09)?will be presenting a paper, "The Little Giant and Old Buck: Stephen A. Douglas, James Buchanan, the Lecompton Constitution, and the Crisis of the American Nation" in historic Lecompton, Kansas, for the Kansas Historical Society's "Bleeding Kansas 2007 Symposium"?on February 11, 2007. |

A group of Civil War Era Studies students and friends?volunteered on the Battlefield painting fences.
Civil War Era Studies Minors living in the Medieval Theme House built this 12' high trebuchet which they will demonstrate to the public soon. |
