Organ
Bachelor of Music in Performance
- A prelude and fugue by J.S. Bach or other composer of the late Baroque period.
- An organ composition by a 19th-century composer.
- An organ composition by a 20th-century composer.
(One of the above should be a slow/lyrical composition).
- Sight read a hymn.
- Memorization is desirable, but not required.
Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Music Education and Music Minor
- A prelude and fugue by J.S. Bach or other composer of the late Baroque period.
- Any composition of a contrasting style period.
- Sight read a hymn.
- Memorization is not required.

Piano
Requirements for all applicants
- Complete a brief written test of basic music theory skills.
- Demonstrate aural skills by vocally matching pitches, singing simple intervals, identifying major and minor chords, and sight singing a simple song.
- Piano applicants playing standard repertoire do not need to send copies of their printed music, but should send a list of their audition pieces.
Bachelor of Music in Performance
- Perform four contrasting pieces, including:
--a complete sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert
--a romantic work of 8 minutes or more
--a work by Bach including a fugue (WTC prelude and fugue or three movements of a suite)
--a work from the 20th or 21st century
- Sight read a short piece
- Memorization is required.
Bachelor of Science in Music Education, Bachelor of Arts in Music
Perform three contrasting pieces, including
*a sonata allegro movement by Haydn, Mozart, or Beethoven
*a work by Bach
*a romantic work or piece from the 20th or 21st century
- Sight read a short piece.
- Memorization is required.
Music Minor
Perform two contrasting pieces, including
*a sonata allegro movement by Haydn, Mozart, or Beethoven
*a romantic work, work by Bach, or work from the 20th or 21st century
- Sight read a short piece.
- Memorization is required.
