The Clarinet Ensemble of The United States Army Band, “Pershing’s Own” was formed in 2007 and utilizes musicians from the Concert and Ceremonial Band clarinet sections.  The group has since performed for a variety of educational, ceremonial, and concert stage missions, including: outreach clinics at local public schools and colleges, The United States Army Band, “Pershing’s Own” Chamber Concert Series at Brucker Hall on historic Fort Myer, Virginia, The United States Air Force Band 2010 Clarinet Symposium, and The Brevard Summer Music Festival in 2011. The Clarinet Ensemble's most recent and moving mission was providing musical support for the funeral of a former member of The United States Army Band, “Pershing’s Own” who was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery.

The United States Army Band Clarinet Ensemble has five musicians. This creates a diverse ensemble that is able to perform in various combinations of trios, quartets, and quintets which highlights many of the auxiliary instruments of the clarinet family.
