Watch video: East Meets West: The Sunderman Conservatory of Music's Wind Symphony performs in China and Singapore

The Sunderman Conservatory of Music’s Wind Symphony has embarked on its first international tour, traveling to four cities in China—Beijing, Xi'an, Suzhou, and Shanghai—as well as Singapore over 14 days, from early to mid-January.

While abroad, the students have performed concerts, engaged in cultural outreach, participated in musical exchanges, and visited major points of interest, including the Great Wall in Beijing and the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi'an.

The performance tour, “East Meets West,” made possible by the generous support of Gettysburg College donors, provides students the opportunity to deepen their musical understanding and reinforce excellent performance skills, while introducing the Gettysburgians to a variety of settings and audiences.
