Wang, published "Entrepreneurship and Innovation: the Case of Yangtze River Delta in China" in Journal of Chinese Entrepreneurship, Vol. 1 (2009): 85-102. The article examines the role of entrepreneurship in enhancing economic innovation in the Yangtze River Delta of China. Empirical results reveal a significant relationship between entrepreneurship and human capital, but an insignificant relationship between research and development (R&D) expenditures and entrepreneurship. Hence, the Delta has the potential to transform its growth strategy due to its human capital endowment as an antecedent of innovation, but entrepreneurs and local governments in the Delta should seek more opportunities to exploit and strengthen their R&D
bases.
