Rutherford (Rud) V. Platt

Rutherford V. Platt is an Associate Professor of Environmental Studies, Chair of the Environmental Studies Department, and Director of the GIS laboratory at Gettysburg College.  His courses include: Environmental Applications of GIS, Remote Sensing of the Environment, Introduction to GIS, Environmental Issues, and the Automobile and its effects on American Culture and Environment.  His research applies spatial models of human and ecological systems to the study of environmental change in the wildland–urban interface, with a focus on the western United States and the Terai Arc Landscape in India.
