Most of my research has focused on birds, and in particular, how environmental change impacts bird populations and distributions. I have worked extensively with large-scale Citizen Science projects, and as such, I have developed expertise in analyzing large data sets, usually with a spatial component. I look forward to continuing with this general research area but also developing a research program that involves students in the real fun stuff of Ecology – getting cold, wet and muddy in the field! Also, I’m keen to expand my horizons and work with animals that don’t have feathers.
