Course Description:
A recent study from the Pew Research Foundation found that a record breaking 21.6 million young adults lived at home with their parents in 2012. This number is up from 18.5 million in 2007. So, what’s going on for this generation of young adults? What are the social and economic dynamics that drive college graduates back home? In this course we’re going to read leading voices in the field of young adult development. We will discuss and write about the particular trends that are shaping this generation’s emerging adult experience, and discover new ways to navigate the unique challenges of young adulthood in the early decades of the 21st century
