To celebrate National French Week 2011, the French Department at Gettysburg College is hosting a variety of events across campus:

  • From 7:00-9:00 PM on November 2nd, 2011, the French singer-songwriter Eric Vincent is performing at the Junction, located in the College Union Building. To learn more about Eric Vincent and listen to his music, visit his official website here.

  • On November 7th, 2011, the Gettysburg College Dining Service is holding a French food night, where a selection of French food is available at Servo, the campus dining hall.
  • Throughout the week, the French Department will also be hosting other events on campus, such as a scavenger hunt, cooking night, and a movie night.



 

Pi Delta Phi Induction

The Pi Delta Phi induction ceremony will be held on October 19 in the Glatfelter Lodge at 4:00 PM. More information about Pi Delta Phi is available on the Student Resources page of the website.

Study Abroad Orientation

For students looking to study abroad in France, the French Department is holding a Study Abroad Orientation on October 27th, from 12:00-1:00 PM in McKnight 20.

Eric Vincent

Eric Vincent has performed in over 140 countries and is coming to Gettysburg College as part of the National French Week. He is known for working closely with French teachers and many of his songs have been published in French textbooks. (source)
