Karen Thrasher '05

My name is Karen Thrasher, I'm an '05 grad.  French major, Spanish minor, Ed minor.  I'm currently teaching Middle School foreign language in Aurora Public Schools in Aurora, a suburb of Denver Colorado.  I'm teaching two year long 8th grade classes of French 1.  2 7th grade classes of intro to french this semester and one of french, one of spanish next semester, and I'll have two sixth grade "Invitation to Foreign Language" classes each semester that cover French, Spanish culture, and American Sign Language.  While I was at Gburg I did an internship/student assistantship with Prof. Jurney helping out in her French 101 class, we actually presented the curriculum we developed at the AATF (American Association of Teachers of French) conference in July '05.
