Le cercle français

Language Class: The more you speak, the more you hear, the better it is!

" Le cercle francais" provides students with an overall cultural background and allows them to use their language skills out of the boundaries of a room setting. The aim is to listen, speak and discuss in
French, trying to overcome the linguistic barrier to reach the cultural dimension. " Le cercle francais" provides students with an understanding of not only French culture, but more extensively the francophone world: the subjects discussed within the french circle, supervised by the French teaching assistant cover a wide range of topics: history, economics, geography, social issues, human relationships, all key elements to better understand a different culture, different mentalities.

• The different activities presented by " le cercle français" :
  French film: Thursdays at 7.00pm.
  French news: Mondays at 6.00pm.
  Le goûter: every other Tuesday at 3.30pm.
  Table francaise: every other Wednesday at 12pm.
  Field trips, including plays, exhibits and dinners in Harrisburg, Baltimore or Washington DC. Some events are in conjunction with the French Embassy and the Alliance Française.
