Marie-Jo Binet, a French native, came to Gettysburg College in 1988. She received a degree in Modern Literatures at the Universite de Bordeaux III, France and holds a Ph.D. in Romance Studies from Duke University. She teaches all levels of French language and literature. She is a 17th-century French literature specialist and has strong interests in women's studies and in film.
