Academic Focus: Feminism, 20th and 21st century French literature (Proust, Ernaux)

Elizabeth Richardson Viti has been at Gettysburg College since 1984. She previously taught at New York University and spent a year as a Mellon Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis. She teaches courses in language, literature, civilization and French feminist writers. Her particular interests are feminist literary criticism, the 20th-century novel and Proust. She received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, her M.A. from Middlebury College, and her Ph.D. from New York University.
