Italian Minor
Requirements for a minor in Italian involve a total of six courses,
a combination of core and elective courses.
Core Requirements (two or three courses):
Italian 301, 302, 303, 304
Note: Italian 202 may be included if a student begins study of college Italian at this level or lower.
Electives (three or four courses):
Italian 222, 250, 251, 260, 270, 280, 285, 290,
IDS 248 Imaged Cities: Novels in Italy
VAH 303 Art of the Italian Renaissance
VAH 306 Michelangelo and the Age of Mannerism
Note: No more than two courses taken abroad may count toward the minor with the approval of the department chair. Courses with an Italian theme offered by other departments at Gettysburg (other than the ones listed bove) may count toward electives with the approval of the department chair.
Courses taken S/U may not count toward the minor.
