French: Affiliated Programs

The Department sponsors two Gettysburg College-affiliated programs for study abroad in French universities. The cities of Avignon and Aix-en Provence in the south of France host our distinctive programs.

Students choose from an array of courses in French language, civilization, history and literature, as well as from among courses in other areas as diverse as philosophy and economics, for example. Course credit and grades are carried over to the Gettysburg College transcript, and any financial aid which a student enjoys from Gettysburg College may be applied to study abroad in these affiliated programs.

All participants in these programs will live with French host families.
