A Gettysburg College German major was honored in the Elie Wiesel Prize In Ethics Essay Contest. The award-winning essay by Alexander Englert stemmed from his study-abroad experiences in Germany, including his friendship with a retired philosophy professor and former German soldier who was in a nursing home.
