Dr. Stuempfle and co-authors publish paper

Dr. Stuempfle and co-authors recently published a paper titled “The need for salt: does a relationship exist between cystic fibrosis and exercise-associated hyponatremia?” (JSCR 2014; 28: 807-813). It was hypothesized that carriers of the cystic fibrosis gene would have an unusually salty sweat that would put them at an increased risk for developing hyponatremia (low blood sodium). This study demonstrated that this is not the case.
