"I spent the Spring Semester of 2009 abroad in Muscat, Oman with the School for International Training. I took a seminar about the role petroleum and the Gulf economies and instruction on conducting field research. I lived with a lively and welcoming Omani home-stay family. (left)
The last month of my stay was spent conducting interviews and research under for an independent research project. Oman is a place of rich cultural heritage, stark natural beauty, classical Islamic architecture, and modern infrastructure.
