Faculty & Staff
One of IA's principal strengths is advising. Students will be assigned an IA adviser once they are accepted into the program. IA advisers provide comprehensive assistance and supervision early in the student's career and this continues until graduation.
The students and advisers work closely with one another in choosing and scheduling courses and coordinating requirements. They will review the appropriate course options within and outside of the major in terms of their applicability to IA and to other interests of the student. Thoughtful counseling should ensure that students do not develop an overly narrow curricular program.
