The Health Sciences major takes a multidisciplinary approach to the study of the human body and how it works. The major integrates a liberal arts foundation with biology, chemistry, physics, and other courses covering a range of topics abouth the human body in health and disease.
You will explore human anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, personal and community health, nutrition, prevention and care of injuries and chronic diseases, exercise physiology, cardiorespiratory physiology, neuromuscular physiology, chronic disease and other important fields.
We offer a variety of opportunities for hands-on experience through internships in physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, medicine, physician assistant, and others. Many students also do independent research in the field.
