Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
Offered as: Major , Minor
Honoring feminism's many voices, Gettysburg College's interdisciplinary Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program draws on theory and new scholarship to analyze the roles, perspectives, and contributions of women.
Through a curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, multiple perspectives, and the diversity of women's experiences, students come to understand gender as a cultural experience and learn methods for examining and modifying the conditions that affect all our lives.
Both a major and a minor are offered. The Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program gains direction from an advisory council composed of students, faculty, administrators, and staff.
