Psychology
Offered as: Major

Gettysburg's psychology program is wide-ranging and hands-on, emphasizing an empirical approach to psychology. In close collaboration with faculty members, students develop questions about the causes of behavior and employ extensive research methodologies and facilities to find answers. Psychology majors develop a scientific attitude and appreciation for the complexity of human personality.
The program offers a representative array of courses in psychology, including advanced laboratories, independent reading and research, opportunities for field work, seminars, and special topics. All students gain direct experience with the major methods, instruments, and theoretical frameworks of the discipline.
